Our name…it all started in the desert of New Mexico…

A little girl, music and the beauty of the New Mexico desert

One night in June of 1981 a little girl I was babysitting at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico woke up in the middle of the night, looked out the window at the huge full moon, and said,

“Look Big David….THE MOON!”

Little did I know that her exclamation would move me. I don’t know why, but it was a moment to remember.

I was ‘Big David’. Little David was three years old and lived next door. I used to play guitar and sing to the kids on Eglin Court. It was one of the more memorable times of my life. I learned to play and sing in those high school years, and have fond memories of that time. The desert and mountains of the Tularosa Valley are unmatched, and they inspired me to persue music.

Big David Productions, and the cactus and moon logo reminds me of my time in the southern desert of New Mexico. I always dreamed of doing something with my musical talents, but new thought I’d be doing production work. The wonder in the little girl’s eyes at that beautiful desert moon mirrors my wonder at all that has been, and will be created
